Microsoft to Lay Off 3% of Global Workforce

November 29, 2022: Wesley Ng stated the fundamentals run a business by watching his parents run their hotel in Hong Kong.
“It was not venture-backed, obviously,” the 41-year-old laughed. “What’s the most prime thing to have to survive? Profits.”
Ng now runs his own business with the same philosophy known as Casetify. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the accessory brand is most effective for its wide range of trendy phone cases.
It comes down to one thing being profitable. Being profitable was super underrated until recently.
Ng stated that Casetify would get $300 million in revenue this year. To date, Casetify said it had sold more than 15 million phone cases worldwide.
“It comes down to one thing being profitable. Being profitable was underrated until recently,” he stated.
“Some companies must burn profits to increase their businesses, but not all companies. I do not think in B2C, and you need burning so much to grow. If that is what you need, I do not think you’re heading in the right direction,” Ng said.
“Learn about running a business from mom and dad. Run a business making money and being profitable. That is the way to go.”
