January 19, 2023: Netflix is examining for a flight attendant to join its crew, and it is willing to pay more than a quarter million dollars for the right candidate.
The streaming firm is hiring an immediate aviation attendant for one of its super-midsize secret jets, based in San Jose, Calif., near the firm’s Los Gatos headquarters.
In addition to regular responsibilities, like performing pre-flight cabin inspections and conducting safety briefings, the recent attendant will be responsible for looking after the stockroom, according to the job listing.
The flight attendant will be required to work for flights on a Gulfstream G550 jet as needed.
The streamer said that candidates will be needed to “demonstrate a professional showcase of Netflix Aviation at all times while doing the duties of the position” and stated applicants should embrace Netflix’s culture and be able “to operate with direction and a lot of self-motivation.”
Candidates are anticipated to be able to support Netflix Aviation by giving “confidential air transportation” and should perform their jobs with “discretion,” the firm says.
Netflix offers a specific compensation range for the role but lists the broad market range for similar positions between $60,000 and $385,000. The company says that the company will determine the final compensation payment by “a wide range of compensation factors, ” including skills and experience.
The role demands “flexibility working a varied work schedule which in domestic and international travel, often needing weekend and holiday work days and comprehensive travel periods,” and an ability to lift and hold up to 30 pounds at a time.
