Apple’s virtual reality headset is managing most iPad applications

April 25, 2023: According to Bloomberg, Apple’s virtual reality headset with hundreds of thousands of iPad apps and includes an all-encompassing approach to features.

To entice developers and consumers, Apple also has gaming, fitness and e-reader functionality for the reality headset, Bloomberg stated. Customers can watch sports in virtual reality and play “top-tier” games that work with Apple’s different devices.

The headset runs most of Apple’s flagship iPad apps, like Books, Camera, FaceTime, Maps and Messages. Hundreds of thousands of third-party iPad applications will reportedly be related to the headset at launch.

Reportedly, the Fitness app will be a point of particular focus, although Bloomberg stated that the feature “likely” won’t be available at launch.

The new headset will reportedly feature an external battery inside a user’s pocket, connected to the headset by a specialized charging cable.

According to the report, the battery is visually related to Apple’s MagSafe Battery Pack and will be charged by an industry-standard USB-C cable.

The headset is widely anticipated to be announced at Apple’s WWDC event in June. Top Apple employee Ming-Chi Kuo expressed the company is concerned about consumer answers to the product amid a softening macroeconomic background. Apple’s headset will cost less than $3,000, three times as costlier as Meta’s high-end Quest Pro.
